Preaching

As followers of Christ, we are called to preach the Gospel to all. Some of the ways we can do this are by the example we set for other people, our attitude of giving or going on mission work trips.

NCYC is an environment that fosters awareness of these preaching opportunities and helps our young people become confident in preaching.

Prepare to Preach (P2P)

Going on a mission trip to preach the gospel can sound scary. Can they speak English? Do I have the right skills? What if I get homesick? Although not directly run by the NCYC, P2P is a 2025 initiative that many of the NCYC young people attend. There are four workshops throughout 2025, culminating in a mission trip to one of five different countries: India, Cambodia, Tonga, Bangladesh, and Vanuatu. The workshops go for a whole day and involve several different sessions on topics including getting a solid understanding of fundamental bible principles, how to interact with people, and a session where attendees split off into the different countries that they're going to to learn more. Each workshop includes a delicious lunch and snacks and activities and songs that can be used on the mission trip. These workshops have planted the seed of a love for preaching in the hearts of many of the young people, as they have seen and understood just how important preaching is and the effects that it can have.

Giving

In association with Agape in Action, the NCYC youth help sponsor children in need. Every year, NCYC works towards a donation goal to provide enough funds to provide a young person with the things they need to make their way in the world.
